COMPASSION for Veterans
Welcome to Visit Vets. Com!
We are a project of Church in my park.com dedicated to providing support and resources to veterans in our community. Our mission is to ensure that every veteran has access to the care, socialization and assistance they need while living in health care facilities. Our team is made up of veterans and supporters who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of those who have served.
As of Summer, 2025 we are building and testing a local model in Martin County, Florida with the assistance of American Legion Post 126, AmVets Post 92,
Moose Lodge #1690, and The Pointe at Ocean Blvd., Independent Senior Living Home. Thank you to all those who are helping us make this concept a reality - so that those who have served never battle loneliness.
If you live in Stuart, Jensen Beach, Sewall's Point, or Port St. Lucie and would like to volunteer at least 1 hour per week with a veteran who lives in a local VA approved facility or have computer skills and would like to help out in web development, please call Chaplain David Nash @ (561)774-0904.
Our process starts with a quick background check and a brief training video (on-line). The next step is a virtual first visit via visual telephone (FaceTime) to get the volunteer and vet familiar with each other and see if they are compatible. Volunteers should be able to drive to the Pointe at Ocean Blvd., 2750 SE Ocean Blvd. Stuart, FL 34996 OR the Cabana at 1537 NE Cedar Street Jensen Beach FL 34957 at least once per week. Thank you!
UBER Veteran Transportation Program
VisitVets.Com is pleased to work with Martin County to help vets sign up for this program that allows veterans to take pre-scheduled UBER rides almost anywhere in Martin County except a personal residence (other than the riders).

Veterans Last Watch Program
We need special volunteers to join us in the hospice Last Watch Program,
where we make sure no hero faces death alone. Volunteers for this difficult and challenging role must be open to receive special training and commit to staying with a passing veteran at their bedside "as long as it takes".
Family Bereavement Travel Expenses
Your donations help VisitVets.Com provide transportation and/or funds for travel expenses for the immediate families of veterans in times of bereavement.

The Walter LaCoure Medals Program
VisitVets.Com uses the latest in technology and our broad government contacts to return any missing military ribbons, metals, awards or plaques to their rightful owners. If the rightful owner and/or family members have passed, the respective item(s) will be displayed in a place of honor, such as local museums, the American Legion, VFW or AmVets Posts.
